Jay-z Predicted 50 Cent's Success In The Scene, Reveals Producer

Jay-Z previously revealed that he warned Roc-A-Fella about 50 Cent.

The young guru recalled when 50 Cent challenged Roc-A-Fella. The legendary producer appeared on My Expert Opinion with Math Hoffa, where he discussed how Fif posed a threat to the music industry as a whole. Guru explained that everyone in Roc-A-Fella was in the studio at the time "Blueprint 2" was being recorded. "At one point, Jay walks into the studio and it turns out that everyone else is in the studio," Guru explained. "We were probably working on The Blueprint 2... And Jay came into the studio; he's said it before, but I'll say it again: it was shocking."

'Hey, this guy, 50 Cent, you're going to have to deal with him for the next few months,' he said as he walked into the studio. 'You're going to have to deal with 50,' Jay-Z told the entire team. Jay-Z detailed this conversation in a 2013 interview with The Breakfast Club, and the video has since gone viral. Guru explained that everyone was drawn to 50 Cent's verse writing ability, particularly Tony Yayo's "I Know You Don't Love Me." to deal with this guy, he's coming.

In other news, JAY-Z has explained his iconic verse in "God Did" on streaming platforms. Ari Melber of MSNBC spent 12 minutes last week explaining the lyrics to the rapper's contribution to the song. Ari called Jay's support for his segment "an honour" in an interview with HipHopDX. "I report on and interview many artists as a journalist," Melber told the broadcaster. "However, seeing Jay-Z release our work on his verse as a track is a first and an honour for us."
