Halle Bailey Reveals She Put “110 Percent” Effort Into Next “The Little Mermaid” Movie

Halle Bailey reveals she put "110 percent" effort into the upcoming "The Little Mermaid" movie. Halle bailey, who plays the character Ariel in Disney's upcoming live-action version of "The Little Mermaid," the film is being very much cherished by black kids who are feeling represented by halle, recently over the "pressure" she's put on herself in starring in such a big role. Talking to E! News at the D23 Expo, Bailey said she put her all into the performance.

 "I'm so excited about this movie," the artist told the channel. "You know being here today is so surreal." She continued, “I definitely think because I love this movie so much, and I've cherished it since I was a little girl, I put a little pressure on myself. Just because I want to deliver all the sensations I saw when I was a little girl… Knowing that I gave my all and gave 110% in everything in this movie, I'm so proud of myself.”

The movie that is also getting a lot of haters because ariel is not white is directed by Rob Marshall and also stars Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Daveed Diggs, Awkwafina, Jonah Hauer-King and more. The cast has been the target of racist reactions online from users who are upset about the film starring a black actress.

The original Little Mermaid animated feature was released in 1989. In related news, the actress was moved by the reactions of black children to the first trailer for the movie “the little mermaid”;
Some parents of black children filmed their daughters quite excited and emotional with them seeing that the princess looked like them: “Is she black?!”, “She is like me!”, “She has brown skin, just like mine”, “Mom, they made a black Ariel”, were some expressions of these videos, which ended up being disseminated on social networks.
